Upcoming Japanese Blu-ray and DVD Releases for 'Crayon Shin-chan' Anime Movies

 

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Crayon Shin-chan anime movie series, Bandai Namco Filmworks will release several of the movies on home media in Japan, under the Bandai Visual label, between November 2022 and December 2023.

Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Mononoke Ninja Chinfuuden will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on November 11. The Blu-ray and DVD will retail for 5,280 yen and 4,180 yen (plus tax) respectively. The special features consist of a creditless version of the opening and ending theme, special news of the movie, a trailer, a TV spot collection, and a collection of setting materials. 



The first 19 movies will be released on Blu-ray for the first time, under a "Blu-ray conversion project" that will begin rolling out in December. Each Blu-ray will retail for 5,280 yen (plus tax). The special features include special news of the movies, as well as trailers. The release schedule is listed below:

The Crayon Shin-chan movie series has been running annually since April 1993. The 30th entry, Mononoke Ninja Chinfuuden, was released in theaters on April 22, 2022.

Angoulême International Comics Festival Hosts L'Attaque des Titans Exhibition in January 2023

  The official Twitter account of the Angoulême International Comics Festival announced on Wednesday that for the first time in Europe an exhibition dedicated to L'Attaque des Titans ("The Attack of the Titans") will be hosted during the festival's 50th edition in January 2023. Original creator Hajime Isayama will be present during the exhibition. The 50th edition of the Angoulême International Comics Festival will run in France from January 26 to January 29, 2023.  Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin , the franchise originated as a manga by Isayama, which was serialized in Besatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. An anime adaptation has aired on Japanese television since 2013. The 1st and 2nd seasons aired on MBS from April 2012 to June 2017. New episodes have aired on NHK General Television since July 2018. The 4th season premiered in December 2020. The manga is published in France by Pika Edition, while Wakanim streams the anime series.   Source: Angoulême Inte
